The value for money at this youth hostel was unbeatable and the room, although small, was clean and comfortable. The location was great, with easy access to the M2 and a 24-hour Tesco nearby, yet still surrounded by beautiful green fields and nature. The staff, especially the friendly lady at the reception, made me feel welcome and at home.
Breakfast offerings could be improved by adding more variety.

We had a fantastic stay at a conveniently located hostel surrounded by beautiful green fields and nature. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room, although small with only one window in the roof, was comfortable enough for a short stay. The lounge and dining areas provided plenty of space to relax, and the self-catering kitchen, although narrow, was manageable with some cooperation from other guests. The location was perfect for exploring the Chatham/Rochester area and was easily accessible from the M2. we had a great experience at YHA Medway and would highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

I spent my Christmas holidays in a hostel and it was amazing! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made my stay unforgettable. The fireplace in the common area added to the ambiance and the selection of books available for guests made it feel like home. the location of the hostel was perfect, just a short walk from a ski and snowboarding club and a national park with a great playground.
The only downside of staying in a hostel is the possibility of having to share the kitchen and fridge with others. While I didn't have any major issues myself, I did hear some guests complaining about their food being stolen.

Located in a great area to explore London or other nearby attractions, this hostel is perfect for families or solo travelers. Right opposite a beautiful country park for long walks and opposite a pub with an hourly bus service to Chatham bus station, getting around is easy. the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the meals are excellently cooked, with attention to dietary requirements.
The room may be small, with limited storage and a strange smell at times, but it provides everything you need at a budget-friendly price.
